I had the same question as you as you are asking.. "Does it Work"? These Solar Sun Rings seem to be the popular trend for 2011. To my surprise they actually worked as well or better than my Solar cover and they were much easier to take on and off the pool. (the magnets help and they just come off the pool like a train). We stack them up in the shed and they store real nice and I don't have to worry about tearing the bubbles or having mice make a home in my rolled up cover.
I recommend these for people that cannot lift a heavy blanket and or don't want that ugly solar roller on the pool. This was the best price I could find in Canada and they ship very quick using UPS. Give it a shot , I think you'll be surprised how much better pool life is with them.
