Works well although cavity with weight compartments fill with water and remains, appears to be growing algae. Now must try and open the weight compartment to drain and seal. I gave a 3 rating for this reason. This should never have been allowed to get past the production

Excellent quality and value of product

This is a pretty good and well made vacuum head. The plastic is thick and sturdy and the brushes have help up well over many years of use. I've had my original one for many years and it's just starting to fail. Water eventually found its way into the sealed chambers where metal weights are installed. The metal rusts and eventually due to rust jacking, the covers that are permanently glued over the weights are force to separate from the body of the vacuum head. This is the only reason I've rated it only 4 stars. But I feel it is good value for the price and would recommend it. Although not listed on the website at this time, the stepped down hose attachment nipple is designed to accept both 1.5in and 1.25in vacuum hoses.
