Description

Pool Supplies Canada Max Shock 70 is a fast acting, powerful shock treatment that produces crystal clear water and controls bacteria and algae in swimming pool water. Contains 70% available chlorine. Each pail of Max Shock 70 includes twelve, individually sealed 454 gram pouches.

Directions for use:

Maintain recommended daily levels as determined by testing kit.

  • Free available chlorine: 1.0 - 3.0 ppm
  • pH : 7.2 - 7.8
  • Total alkalinity: 80 - 120 ppm
  • Calcium hardness: 200 - 300 ppm

Add the recommended dosages of this product while the filter is running. Broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool. The pool water should be warm (above 20ºC) in order for the product to dissolve effectively. If the water is cold, predissolve required amount in a plastic pail with concentration not exceeding 1 kg per 10 L of water.

To minimize bleaching, predissolve required amount of Max Shock 70 in a plastic pail with concentration not exceeding 1 kg per 10 L of water. Always add chemical to water, NEVER water to chemical. Broadcast resulting slurry directly to pool water. Initially, superchlorinate pool water with 150 g of Max Shock 70 per 10,000 L of pool water. For best results, superchlorinate at dusk.

Maintain proper chlorine residual by broadcasting daily over the pool’s surface, 30 g of Max Shock 70 per 10,000 L of pool water, or as needed.

Superchlorinate weekly using 150 g of Max Shock 70 per 10,000 L of pool water when average daily temperature is 25°C - 32°C. Otherwise, superchlorinate every other week. For visible algae, superchlorinate using 350 g of Max Shock 70 per 10,000 L of pool water. Heavy algae growth may require dosages up to 500 g per 10,000 L. Vacuum pool when dead algae has settled.

NOTE: Hot weather, heavy pool usage, and rain may require higher dosages to maintain proper chlorine residuals. For outdoor pools, chlorine residuals can be protected from UV rays by adding stabilizer (cyanuric acid).
