SeriousStain Remover eliminates mineral discolouration and organic stains from pool & spa surfaces without draining the water. Potent organic acids combined with powerful chelating agents dissolve mineral stains such as iron, calcium, manganese etc. Stains from algae, dead blackspot algae, leaves and other organic material are also removed. It is a DIY pool treatment suitable for all vinyl, fiberglass and concrete pool & spa surfaces.

Directions for use:

First: For best results let the chlorine level fall to 0ppm and adjust pH to 7.0. Backwash or clean the pool or spa filter and turn it off. Remove all plastics including covers, hoses and cleaners. DO NOT SWIM or filter during treatment until water has rebalanced and sanitized.

Recent Stains and Vinyl liners: For pools, add 200g of SeriousStain Remover per 10,000 liters of pool water (1.2kg per 60,000) dissolved in 10 liters of water and pour around edges of the pool. In spas use 100g per 2000 liters. This treatment further lowers PH. Brush the walls and floors after 24 hours and if the stains faded restore pH to 7.2 with a similar quantity of Alkalinity UP.

Severe and Old Stains: Add at double the dose (2.4kg per 60,000). In addition Hydrochloric acid pre-dissolved in a bucket of water may be added to further lower pH as follows.

• Vinyl Pools - 500 mL of hydrochloric acid per 10,000L
• Fiberglass Pools - 1 liter of hydrochloric acid per 10,000L
• Concrete pools - 2 liters of hydrochloric acid per 10,000L for plaster,pebble and colour quartz finish, for painted pools in good condition, use does for fiberglass. Most marks, stains or coloured streaks fade completely in 2-3 days. To complete the treatment for severe or old stains raise the pH back to 7.2 with 2kg dose of Alkalinity Up pre-dissolved in a bucket of water and pour in around the edge of the pool. Doses should be made at hourly intervals with the filter running.

Hydrochloric Acid use: The manufacture recommends treatments using hydrochloric acid should be done by professional. Extreme care should be taken BY ALL USERS.
