Use the Right Amount of Sanitizer to Keep Pool Water Clean

Chlorine is the most popular pool chemical and pool water sanitizer, and can be used in pools as well as hot tubs and spas. Pool chlorine uses chlorinating agents which release chlorine when they are dissolved in water. Pool disinfectants which use chlorine can come in dry/solid or liquid form. Dry chlorine is a granular or tablet form of chlorine. Liquid chlorine and chlorinating liquid are concentrated forms of chlorine which are dissolved in water.

It's important to use the right amount of chlorine to keep your pool water clean and safe. Too little chlorine can allow the growth of algae and bacteria in your pool water, making it unsafe to swim in. On the other hand, too much chlorine in your pool water can irritate your eyes and skin.
